Capital One acquired Chevy Chase Bank in February 2009. We are in the process of integrating these entities. As a result, both Capital One and Chevy Chase Bank information and logos may appear on recruiting materials. Retail Management & Leadership Training Programs
If we offered you a direct path to management, would you take it? At Chevy Chase Bank, this can be a reality with our Retail Management Associate and Retail Leadership Associate training programs.
The Retail Management Associate (RMA) Program will prepare you to assume a leadership role in our retail banking network (including the Customer Contact Center) – the largest in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. You will learn fundamental management and banking skills, professional sales techniques, coaching skills, product knowledge and much more. Classroom training is enhanced by practical, on-the-job training throughout the program to help you make the most of the experience.
Successful completion of the RMA Program will help you qualify for a leadership role as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader within one of our three retail delivery channels: Traditional Branch Network, Supermarket Branch Network or Customer Contact Center.
Exemplary performers in the RMA program may also have the opportunity to apply for the Retail Leadership Associate (RLA) Program. Upon completion, RLAs are eligible to apply for Branch Manager and Team Manager roles within the three retail delivery channels.
Do you have what it takes?
To succeed, you should be a quick learner with an interest in management and sales, have strong leadership abilities and some experience in retail sales, banking or a call center setting. We also look for goal-oriented, effective communicators with great motivation and a winning personality. A four-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. Both programs require the ability to travel between Chevy Chase Bank corporate offices and branch locations.

Retail Bank Manager
Drive sales and service excellence within a retail branch by contributing to the development and implementation of marketing plans to increase business while retaining existing clients. You will have 100% accountability for daily branch operational functions, ensuring that all staff adhere to established policies and procedures. You will also coach branch staff on competitive products and ensure adequate staffing to guarantee the delivery of fast, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
Assistant Branch Managers
Supervise and motivate the sales team, monitor operations and resolve challenges in the branch environment. You will communicate duties and responsibilities, coach to improve performance and regularly evaluate staff performance.
